MUNDANE MANIFESTO
This is a plea to all free-thinking citizen of the Empire. All have heard of our informal order, but much of that has been tangled in falsehoods, fed to you by the Arcane Ministry! We are NOT an ''organization of terror'' as the Ministry would have you believe, nor do we engage, permit or condone the murder of innocents, to further our cause! We only seek to liberate the peoples of the Empire, from the shackles of a regime, unfit to rule Tamriel.
The ministers, magisters and mages of the Arcane Ministry would have you believe, they have the best interests of all Men and Mer at heart, when that could be no farther from the truth! Thousands of children have been forcibly pressed into the Ministry's service and hundreds have never been seen nor heard from again, after they were first abducted in the night, by the Ministry's battle-mages!
Furthermore, the Arcane Ministry employs the most horrid and dishonorable of methods in their ''research''; Abductions of non-magi, vile experiments on the weak and infirm, not to mention arrests of those that disagree with them.
We of the Mundane Order bring you this TRUTH at great risk to our persons, as our members live under the constant threat of summary execution at the hands of the Arcane Ministry, without criminal charges or trial among our peers; These are basic rights which are supposed to be guaranteed for all citizen, promised by the Empress herself! And yet she turns a blind eye, to the activities of the Arcane Ministry.
Many see Empress Livia as a heroine, as she seems to have saved the Empire from the clutches of the Aldmeri Dominion and yet, have we forgotten, how, she ''saved'' us? With an army! And once she was done conquering Cyrodiil, she slaughtered the Elder Council which had adminisitered Tamriel for millennia, and any who stood in her way. When the provinces rose against her illegitimate claim to the throne, she rode out upon a dragon and massacred hundreds of innocents!
But the greatest of her sins, was the creation of the Arcane Ministry, which now rules over all the people of Tamriel, whether Man or Mer, with absolute authority. Not even the Imperial Army may oppose the will of the Ministry, even in defense of the helpless children and adults the Ministry ''conscripts'' in troves and whom are never heard from again.
Oh, those with adequate magickal potential, or a treasury large enough to keep the Ministry at bay, are given special consideration and even treated well. But what of the rest of us? The farmers, labourers, soldiers? We are treated like dirt, like animals in a pen and our only purpose, to be slaughtered at the whim of the Ministry!
We, the people of Tamriel, choose not to accept this status quo any longer! It is for the protection and preservation of the common citizen, that the former nobleman Baro Sestius, founded our order nearly thirty years ago! And while he has spent the last fifteen years, rotting away in an Imperial prison cell, simply for disagreeing with the Ministry; His message has only spread more fervantly, far and wide, opening the eyes of hundreds to the truth; That we live underneath a regime of oppressors, no better than the Aldmeri Dominion!
Open your eyes! Join us in freeing Tamriel of the Ministry's tyranny and in restoring the rights we once enjoyed, during the Third Empire. The time to take a stand is now! Act, before it is too late!
Long live the people! Long live the mundane! Long live Tamriel!
