The Library

The main door leads to a short corridor and into a large common area.  Tables and chairs, ready for readers and researchers, are dotted across the area, although it is dominated by The Librarian’s large desk.  Only the normal height for a desk, it seems to be four times as long and twice as wide as a normal desk. It has open books and pages of notes scattered across its surface. Apart from a criss cross of rafters, the area appear to be open to an overcast sky, much like many of the rooms in Netherworld, but that just means that you can always read the books and scrolls available on the library shelves.

The doors to the book repositories are close to the Librarian’s desk -  and he will be pleased to guide you to the right shelf and section for the book that you want. The repositories the floors, walls and ceilings are lined with dark wood panelling, and the wooden bookshelves slide on rails, allowing for more books to fit into the limited space, that you would imagine possible.  Dim light pervades the repositories, letting you see just enough to move about, but not bright enough to harm the delicate writing.

If the Librarian helps you find the right books, and guides you to the right passages, you gain +3 on all knowledge checks. (this represents using a library and Aid Another from The Librarian). Occasionally, The Librarian will just know the answer to your questions, and tell you straight out.
