Learning Skills and Improvement


I've come up with a character improvement system that I'm thinking of trying out.  It is based on the Point Allocation system on page 40 of the core rules.

Some details that may be different:
  1. You have to get level 0 before level one.
    Similiar but not the same as the book.
    • It costs 1 point to get a level 0 in a skill.
    • It costs 2 points to improve from level 0 to level 1.
    • It costs 4 points to go from level 1 to level 2.

  2. You have to progress through each level.
  3. Points are cumulative. So If you have the points, it would take 7 to go from unskilled to skill level 2.
  4. The rules in the book give 10 points per term.  I'll round off to 1 point every 4 months.
  5. You can save and accumulate the points. It is strongly suggested you role play what you are working towards or when you use the points, you select based on activities the character was engaged in.

At this time I'm still thinking through how one can improve physical characteristics with this point system.
