Moonglow has expanding rapidly more people arrive at THE place to study magic within Britannia.  There are other places, certainly, but Moonglow boasts the best research and highly accredited professors.  As it expands, the city pushes back the forest to convert it to farmland and suburbs and will eventually expand to contain The Lycaeum ...

Places of note within Moonglow:
Mage's college.  The largest of its kind.  Many apply to attend and study within these halls and as such, most of the city supports the college, either directly or indirectly with only a small portion of the town allocated for visitors.  Study of most spheres of magic is permitted within these walls, with only one outright forbidden: the Ynfernal.
Observatory.  A small but growing circle within the college dedicated to studying and observing astronomy.
The Honest Inn.  A place for visitors to stay during their time in Moonglow.  Most long-term residents will rent a place within the college itself.
Apothecary.  A place to buy healing and minor magic items.
