Pranks

- Making Professor Rolme's hair fall out
Discussed: Opening the Halls Post 113
- Making Dharin's hair fall out
Action occured: Prologue - At the Split Moon Post 9
Action discovered: Opening the Halls Post 101 & following
A common theme in Ace's journey is his interactions with a certain Fox.
- In his mind's eye he sees a fox, a bushy-tailed vixen. He follows her from field to forest. Ever deeper and darker. An oppressive gloom. Though full of life, it is also choking - there is no light, no sound, no air. Yet he moves further, deeper in, following the fox. Twisting roots, grabbing briars, braches blocking his path. Soon he is hopelessly lost. The forest has closed in on him. There is no way out.

- Ace is torn.
"You can save her," a voice whispers in his head. It is soft, beautiful, and determined.
"Don't be a hero," another voice replies. "Remember what happened in every fight these past days." This voice also is beautiful, but also dangerous, and calculating. "Better to live a coward than to die a fool."
"And what is the point of living, if it is only to serve yourself," the soft voice counters. As the voice speaks, Ace feels the amulet. It's warmth invigorates him, and burns him at the same time.
Hero or Coward. What Ace may be is left for another day. For now, there is only what he is - impetuous, impatient, brash, and a bit stupid.

- "Again? Seriously?" the harsh yet seductive feminine voice whispered.
Ace peered into the fog that surrounded him. Everything seemed to be an unearthly greyish-white.
"What can I say? I missed you," he replied.
"Well, at least you haven't lost your sense of humor, even if you have lost your senses."
"I thought it was the quickest way to end the fight."
"But you forget, your powers were granted for my will."
"Uhm, I believe the exact wording was, 'our mutual enjoyment'."
"You dare quote the contract to me?"
"Yes. I dare. Seeing as how I have spent more time unconscious than not these past few days. This isn't really a lot of fun for me. And unless all you're really after is to see me suffer, I can't see how this is much fun for you, Mistress."
"Well, it is a bit entertaining," she says with a quiet giggle. "But you are right. I had expected more from the gifts I have given to you. Perhaps it is merely a bit of bad luck, along with some misplaced bravado."
"Point taken, M'Lady..."

- A field of navy blue. No ground, no sky, no walls. Ace walks on nothingness, and comes to a tree. Underneath it branches lays a giant female red fox, with far too many tails.
"You know, this is getting a little old," she says.
"You're telling me," Ace replies.

- A bright light bursts through the blue fog. "That's my ride," Ace says. "And you've gotta admit, a completely hairless dwarf - that was a good one. You want more fun, how about a bit more help?" Ace petitions as he steps into the healing light. The over-sized nine-tailed fox begins to smile.
