Welcome, Pathfinders, to a new frontier of adventure, intrigue, and bookkeeping! While brave adventurers delve the deeps of dungeons and defy the decrees of dragons, the vast majority of folk are just trying to get by. They cluster in the relative safety of communities - bastions of normalcy that intermittently dot the otherwise wild landscape of nature.

In Village Life, you are one of those folk. But despite what those haughty adventuring types may think, your life is not so simple. You've got dreams and aspirations that are important to, gosh darnit. And now that you're a proper adult, you've also got responsibilities. You've got one or more mouths to feed for one thing, so let's start there. Eventually, who knows? Given time, ingenuity, and a whole lot of sweat, you might aspire to much greater things after all.

This game utilizes the Pathfinder RPG rules to help govern the simulation of a burgeoning village over time. It leans heavily on the Downtime system described in the Ultimate Campaign sourcebook (much of which is available for free online). The focus alternates between the management of actions from week to week and more traditional Role-playing your character.

Again, this is NOT a game where your typical well-balanced party of heroes goes on adventures. Though some drama and challenging events will occur, the majority of PCs and NPCs are facing relatively commonplace problems as they endeavor to build up a better community together. A good portion of the game will actually play more like a turn-based grand strategy - where players will input their actions/goals each week and I (the GM) will output results. In between weeks of number-crunching, you'll be able to deal with the mundane sorts of drama that dominates a commoner's life.

If you're looking to explore dungeons, slay monsters and grab their loot and such, this isn't the game for you.

This game is rated as Mature - not for any specific intention to include mature subject matter, but rather to keep my options open.
