This is book 1 of the Kolgoran Chronicals, a planned series of campaigns that will tell the story of a clash of two very different cultures, and the ultimate balance they will come to.

The northern land of Kolgora is a place of narrow wild river valleys and desolate, rocky hilltops. It is a place of many clans, where humans and orcs alike live in small, roaming bands, constantly fighting for the best pieces of territory, where the gods of the south have never taken root, and where shamans call on the might of their ancestors for their power. These people are known as the Hiuurafa, and their world is about to change.

Far to the south, in the flatlands and on the coast of the warm Belia Sea live the Ferru, an extremely religious civilization with bronze-age tools and a population almost a thousand times as great as that of the hills. The northernmost of the Ferru cities, right on the boundry with the hills, are the three cities of Trytos, Maltrea and Tavala. Now, in 221 CO, a great clash of cultures is brewing, and these three cities will be right at the heart of it.

Into this melting pot of conflict and dispute walk a grand cast of characters: scheming nobles from Maltrea, shamans and necromancers from the hills, steppe warlords and monks from the east, assassins and wizards, clerics and heritics, and oh so many more. Our heroes and villains are in place. Will they carve out a place for themselves amidst this backdrop of manipulation and war? Or will they be lost to history, their deeds overshadowed by the grand events of the Coming of the Southerners?
